Beltane was inspired by the Pre-Arthurian English and Celtic Beltane rituals surrounding joining of the Great Goddess and Horned God. I'm drawn to the intimacy of couples as a means through which to understand the delicacies of love, the need for one body to find another in time and space, something that as an asexual I find myself wholly unfamiliar with. Beltane exists to bring us back to our roots, to remember that we came from the earth and stars and sky, to celebrate love in all it's diverse forms.
